Minke whale was the entertainment that our guests got to enjoy while sailing out on Skjálfandi bay both on during those two days.
Today it was quite lively, we spotted a minke whale as well as some harbour porpoises and close to the mountains there was a small quorious seal swimming around:)
Capt. Hrólfur and guide Himmi went on two tours today and managed to show minke whale in both tours. You can read more about minke whales here.
DetailsThe Minke whale seen 2 days ago hasn´t been found although seen by some fishermen every now and then. It seems to be feeding in the shallower parts of the bay but disapearing when we come to the area.
Finally after searching around in the bay, capt. Hrólfur and guide Christain managed to find a minke whale!
The same difficult situation: no whales were spotted during these days…
