Humpback whales breaching and feeding – great photos

 

Damien Saffroy was working at the Húsavík Research Center in the year 2010 and 2011 and part of his job was to go out to Skjálfandi Bay with North Sailing and collect photos and data on the whales. Damien decided to visit North Sailing again for several weeks this summer and has joined us on numerous tours. Following photos were taken by Damien of a humpback whale that put on a show for passengers, both by breaching out of the water and feeding in the surface.
