Minke whale, Blue whale and White beaked dolphins
The weather to day was pretty much the same like yesterday. Foggy, but we could see over the bay. That was good so the search was easy.
In the afternoon we headed of the bay as we had found some whales there in the morning. As we arrived in the west we found some Minke whales. We took a short look at them because we had gotten news from other boats of some thing bigger further north of us. As we got closer to them we noticed that they had really gotten some thing big. There was a Blue whale swimming and probably feeding close to the surface. It was not diving for long so we got a really god look at the Blue whale. As we had spent quite some time with the blue whale we left it behind and set the course further west as we had seen some White beaked dolphins there and we wanted to see them closer. Instead of the dolphins we found other Minke whales. After some time with them we saw the dolphins bit further away, so we headed there. The dolphins gave us a fantastic show swimming next to the boat and also under it. After a grate show unfortunately our time was done so we had to head again back to Húsavík. On the way many of the passengers and the crew enjoyed hot chocolate and cinnamon buns.
