Two laidback Humpbacks made the day!
Today’s Humpback Whales were a dream! There was a duo of them hanging out around the middle of the bay for almost the entire day and seemingly some more further out. The star duo was clearly well-fed as at no time we saw signs of them either eating or travelling between feeding locations, two of the most common behaviour forms we tend to see. The only thing that seemed to be on their mind was to play and fool around. They kept lolling around the boats at no speed and made virtually no deep dives so we could usually follow their silhuettes around beneath the surface. We saw them slapping their find and flukes on the surface and some other boats saw them breach to all in all it was a brilliant day!
