Blue Monday

For the second day in a row, we were lucky enough find whales. The morning tour started with a tiny minke whale and later, we increased in size with the same majestic blue whale that we saw yesterday.

It was still there this afternoon, very calm and even showing some spectacular behaviours by rolling on itself! A unique sighting!

It was an actual „Blue Monday“. And it does feel good to live such an experience!

 

 

The blue whale came very close to us, showing its blowholes.

 

 

And even seemed to be asking for a “High-five” by lifting its flipper.

 

 

And there everyone seemed to have a lot of fun!

 

 

Then, when it eventually came closer…

 

 

… and showed its whole body, rolling around, right in front of our dear Húsavík…

 

 

… then even our guide Heidrún had to close her eyes! It was too much beauty for one day!
