Electron blue
Today was a fantastic whale watching day!
We saw 2 blue whales during our morning tour, nice enough to lift their impressive fluke tails out of the water. They were actively feeding themselves and sometimes a little hard to follow.
One of them was still there in the afternoon, together with a humpback whale, the first one since the beginning of our scheduled tours.
Calm sea, no wind, plenty of whales…It couldn´t be better!
We saw the flippers of a blue whale quite few times already…
…but not their flukes. But here is in front of Husavik…
…and antother one, south of the bay.

It swam next to us for a while. Here are its large flippers that can reach up to 1/3 of its body length.
And eventually it reappeared next to Lundey.
