Saving “Hope”, chapter one
The sun was shinning again on Husavik. And whales were here to enlight the day even more..
The morning tour was brigthened by the presence of our entangled whale, baptised „Hope“ by our researchers, whereas the afternoon tour has allowed us to see two humpbacks and a nice group of dolphin. Our guests were in heaven, since these tours practicaly looked like the best ones we could hope for on a summer day.
Late in the afternoon, North Sailing organised a rescue mission for „Hope“, the entangled humpback whale, with divers from Eyjafjorður. But its diving patterns made it impossible for us to approach it. Let´s keep hope about its presence in the bay and about our chances to free it from its entaglement…
