Foggy conditions – but amazing whales

Today the bay was filled with dense fog – challenging conditions for finding the whales! But fortunately our previous experiences teached us where to find the most popular feeding areas and that’s where we’ve been successful today again: Close to the fish rock in the western part of Skjálfandi Bay we had the chance to encounter three humpback whales, about ten minke whales and countless harbor porpoises, surrounded by hundrets of sea birds. The animals were busy feeding and nobody cared about the fog anymore but enjoyed watching these fascinating animals.
