Sailing on Hildur
Today we’re sailing on Hildur, one of the schooners we have. Named after the valkyrie Hildr. We have some slight drizzle though luckily the whales don’t mind some rain. We started out at puffin island, most of the puffins have now laid their egg and the island is filled with their white chests. With some of our sails to aid us we sail across the bay in search for some bigger marine life. We’re happily surprised by 2 humpback whales, feeding beside us for quite some time. On the way back we spotted a minke whale quite close the boat as well, we managed to get a good look at his baleen plates this time! Another good day in Skjalfandi bay.
