Improvements in schooner Haukur
Lately schooner Haukur has been in the Akureyri shipyard for improvements of facilities. The main purpose is to increase bunkbeds so after the improvements Haukur will have the possibility to sleep 11 people.
The cabin in front when the old bunkbeds had been torn down
7 new bunkbeds have been built, five in the cabin in front and two in the crew cabin. The passenger cabin already had 4 good berths so no changes were needed there. There's also a new central heating for the whole boat and new galley, including a new state of the art stove.

This addition of berths makes Haukur even more capable of doing over-night trips for example the three day sailing which is scheduled six times next summer. For more information on the three day sailing tour see here
