Hildur gone to Greenland
Last night Hildur departed for Greenland after a long preperation. The boat was on schedule and the crew was enthusiastic to get going. It was already getting dark when the boat left the harbour after the final goodbyes. One of our schooner deckhands was there with a camera and snapped some pictures.
The boat had to be filled with oil before departing.
“Parting is such sweet sorrow”
The crew chatting.
The crew posing.
Fully fueled the boat departs.
Heading into the beautiful Icelandic sunset.
The view of the harbour is never as beautiful as at night.
One last glance.
Today at 1:30 we got word from capt. Heimir who told us they have alrady sailed 112 nautical miles and everything is going well.
