Greenland tour a great success
It is a pleasure to write that the first Greenland tour was a great success! According to both passengers and the crew the experience of the beautiful fjordsystem of Scoresby Sund in northeast Greenland was more than one could dream of. One of the passengers, Ute Zimmer, phrased her experience very nicely:
“Thank you so much for a trip-of-a-lifetime, an incredible adventure, a week full of new experiences and a visit to a spectacular open-air-art-exhibition in Scoresby-Sund. We had such a great time with “Hildur” and the crew. Never to forget…”
Our experienced crew and the wonderful schooner Hildur are a big part of making this adventure as enjoyable as possible. The group was taking hikes, exploring greenlandic flora and fauna; dining delicously made meals from the two chefs onboard; cruising between great icebergs and enjoying the company of each other.
The second group is now almost half way through their week and the latest news from the captain is that they just left Ankor Vik and will next anchor up in Hekla Havn. It has been quite some ice around which makes their travel a little more careful. But the atmosphere onboard is great and they are enjoying the experience so far!
Following are amazing pictures taken in the first week, 20. – 27. august, of the Greenland tour 2011.
