Húsavík heatwave!

The weather in Húsavík has been good the last 2 days with temperatures reaching the low twenties.

Tourists have been flocking to this now famous town of the whales. The high season is almost here and North Sailing´s boats go in and out of the harbour all day with up to 12 departures pr. day carrying almost five hundred people over one day.

Folloving pictures were taken today by North Sailing´s ticket office in front of the famous church of Húsavík.

These nice Germans just got back from a whale watching tour. They were very happy with everything.. Nils (our german speaking guide), the hot chocolate and of course the whales which they said were plentiful out on the bay.

Outside North Sailing´s Lighthouse there is a nice picnic area which is quite popular among tourists and locals alike.
