The whale watching season is getting better and better
North Sailing started the whale watching season in a cold and snowy March month but now, two months later, it is sure to say that summer is just about to arrive. With warmer winds and calmer seas more whales have now started entering the bay making both crew members and guests very happy. These seasonal visitors come all the way from their breeding grounds in the south tropics to enjoy the long summer daylight in Skjálfandi bay. For us here at North Sailing that is a sign that summer is just around the corner knocking on our doors. The weekend that passed was great with more than five species all at once, some of the Humpback whales spotted are old and reliable friends that spend their summer with us year after year.
It is sure to say that we are excited for the upcoming months, we have a feeling this season will be fantastic!
