Hildur taken out sailing
There’s not a lot of work left to get Hildur ready. It was taken out for a tour with a few guests, some with notable sailing experience. The tour went nicely and Hildur sailed well, experiencing both a nice and calm wind and a somewhat stronger breeze as well. In the next few days, Hildur will be heading home to Iceland, and work will then be completed in Húsavík.
In all likelihood, shortly thereafter Hildur will be ready for use, but further news of that will of course be posted as soon as a we know more. No exact date has been decided. Below are some pictures from the tour as well as the boat from the last few days.

Working in the front. Smoking will of course be strictly forbidden on the tours, as usual. 😉
Working on the deck. A liferaft is in place on board.

The figurehead in an unusual location, it is usually placed beneath the bowsprit rather than on it.
