Great weather and plenty of whales!
The summer is here and the sun is shining. The whales seem find this most agreeable, and in the last few days we’ve had great success in our tours. We’ve seen a variety of species such as the Humpback whale, the Minke whale, White-Beaked dolphins as well as the magnificent Blue whale! We’ve also not only had a great quality of selection, but also quantity of individual whales. The other day we had an extremely succesful tour where we saw a group of 5 Humpbacks and a Blue whale to boot. You can read about it in greater detail here. The success continues, and this morning we went out to find 4 Humpbacks and a Minke whale, and we just got reports of a Blue whale again!
It’s also apparent that the Puffins have arrived as the little black and white birds with the colorful beaks can be seen flapping their short wings as they fly around the bay, preparing for the nesting to come.
With tomorrow being the 1st of June, a new schedule is starting, with 5 departures for whale watching over the day.
Our schedule for those is available here and, as can be seen on the sidebar, a variety of other tours as well!
In short, the bay is teeming with life, Blue whales are here, and it’s pretty much the perfect time to go whale watching!
