Active humpback whale between Náttfari and Haukur

Sightings have been more or less very good during June and today was one of those fantastic humpback days.  A humpback was lobtailing for more than half an hour between two of North Sailing’s boats, Náttfari and Haukur.

When everyone thought the show was over, the whale leaped clear out of the water to much joy of the more than one hundred passengers that witnessed it.

Captain Heimir on Schooner Haukur had his camera and took a few shots, although missing the jump this time.
