A humpback whale breaching once
Jonni the humpback whale must be one of the most photographed whale in the history of whale watching. We spotted him on both tours today. This morning there were actually two or three humpback whales spotted but I only went out on the afternoon trip and we didn't see any other humpback whale than Jonni. Before we saw him we had already seen one minke whale really good and another in the distance. But we had great luck with Jonni the humpback whale because he breached once right next to the boat and came several times quite close. At one point though we lost him and went further west to see if we could find one of the whales from this morning but without luck so when we turned back and headed to Húsavík we found Jonni again and saw him a couple of times next to the boat.
Like yesterday, it was really cold today but a little better than yesterday though and at the end of the afternoon trip the sun broke out and I hope it will stay some days now.
