Dolphin day in the bay
This morning it was quite windy out on Skjálfandi Bay and the waves were impressive. We sailed out and headed north towards Lundey (Puffin Island) hoping to run into some whales. Fortunately we did after a while, a minke whale came up pretty close to our boat but then disappeared after blowing powerfully for us.
We went further north and came across a group of dolphins and they let us admire them for some time. There were at least 5 of them and coming up frequently.
In the next tour, at 13:30, we went to similar places in the bay and found first a dolphin which was swimming really fast trying to always be in front of the boat.
Later we found more dolphins in a group of 3 and also 2 minke whales.
In the afternoon the sea was a lot calmer and in the end of the tour the weather was really beautiful, Skjálfandi Bay looking good in the afternoon sun.
