Many species over the weekend
This weekend has been wonderful. On Friday we had great luck, spotting four species in one trip: A humpback, minke, blue whale and several orcas! The orcas were only in the bay for two tours but they were a welcome addition to our bay. The blue whales seem very interested in our vessels, two of them came very close and swam alongside the boat during one tour.
The weather was ideal for whale watching and conditions to spot the whales were excellent, which lead to a nice dilemma: Which blow should we follow?
There is also a lot of birdlife in the bay. Gannets, great skuas, arctic terns, fulmar and of course the puffin have kept our visitors company.
