A calm day with blue whales and humpback whales
On the first tour this morning it took some time to find a whale, I think almost thwo hours had passed before they found one blue whale and did a great show. Then me and captain Hreiðar came out at 12:00 and also had great success with the same blue whale. At that time it seemed like there were no other whales in the bay. But when we went out at 17:00 also saw one humpback whale and one minke whale but also the same blue whale. In the distance though I saw two other blows that were probably from other blue whales. The evening trip was also with one blue whale and two humpback whales but at the end of the trip the wind increased and the surface got a bit rougher so it was a bit difficult to approach the blue whale but we had fantastic luck when it came up right at the side of the boat so everybody were really happy.
