A nice warm day with humpback whales

We went out this morning on two boats, me on Bjössi Sör and Halla Marín on Náttfari. The bay was totally calm and the sun was (is still) shining. Close to the mountains we found two humpback whales side by side, both of them we have been seeing in the last days. Anyways, we got them a few times really close, in between the boats. But then they separated and we followed one for some time. When we were getting ready to go back to the harbour it started rolling in the surface, waving the flippers and also spyhopping a few times. Really a great final show.

We then spotted the third humpback whale on the way home, when we were drinking the hot chocolate. That humpback was feeding in the surface and came frequently up, catching the food at the surface. I'm happy to see that these humpback whales seem to enjoy themselves in the bay.
