3 humpback whales and a minke whale
This was a bit strange day weather-wise. When we went out this morning it was a bit cloudy but not foggy so it was no problem to find the three humpback whales that have been here the last days. Then at 13:30 when me and captain Hreiðar went out it was getting a bit foggy. And then it got foggier so we didn't see but a few meters from the boat. I was getting a bit nervous that we wouldn't be able to find the humpbacks again. But then, all of a sudden, a minke whale popped up right next to the boat. We saw it 5 or 6 times but then it disappeared into the fog. So we continued to search for at least one of the humpback whales. With success. We found one in the middle of the darkness. But after we had spent some time with the humpback whale it started to clear up. It was quite funny to see the mountains appear in front of us. And on the way back the sun was shining. A bit amazing but fun, specially because we had luck with two species while the fog was still very thick.
