A beautiful day
I really enjoyed myself today, it was sunny and the humpback whales were amazing. They seem to be really calm these days and making a show almost every day. I had two trips today on Náttfari with Gylfi, Siggi and Ármann who's a new guide in training. On the earlier trip we had one humpback whale swimming alongside the boat for a long, long time. It went diving a few times but always came up next to us and just stayed with us like it was seeking the company of the boat. All the passengers were thrilled and got even more thrilled when we headed further west and found two humpback whales side by side. They seemed to be feeding but usually coming up next to us. We didn't see any other species on this tour but on my second tour we found a beautiful minke whale and one humpback whale. I tried hard to find the other two humpbacks but they were nowhere to be seen. It always amazes me how two tours in a row can be different. But all the same, this one humpback was so nice we didn't really need the others.
