A wet day with minke whales
Well, I have to say, I've often had better days in the bay. It was raining the whole day and the whales were hiding from me. On my first trip with captain Hreiðar we were almost four hours on the trip, instead of the regular three hours. The reason was that we had been traveling all around the bay without seeing anything but rain. Then they called us on the radio from the other boats and they had found minke whales. The only problem was that they were at the other side of the bay. But we decided it would be better to go there and make the tour longer than go home without seeing a thing. And it worked, we finally had great luck with a minke whale and everybody were happy. Cold and wet but happy.
On the second tour we went straight to the place were we had seen the minke whale earlier and found two straight away. We saw them a few times but then it was as they had disappeared. No matter how we searched the area over and over again, nothing popped up.
It was a strange day.
