General
North Sailing shall not be responsible for failure to operate the expedition if such failure is caused by reasons beyond the control of North Sailing, i.e. due to riots, strikes, lock-outs, civil commotion, existence, apprehension or imminence war between any nations, civil war, blockade, embargo, acts of governmental authorities including civil shipping and/or harbor authorities, fire, flood, fog, frost, ice, storms, epidemics; quarantine, requisition of vessel, breakdown or accident to the vessel or any other similar cause. In case of activation of the Force Majeure clause above, North Sailing can cancel the expedition no later than 20 days prior to scheduled departure with full refund and without any further compensation. In case of a cancellation, North Sailing shall refund the customer within 14 days.
Cancellation Policy
The contracting party may cancel the travel contract (exclusively in writing) at any time before the beginning of the trip. In the case of cancellation by the contracting party North Sailing is entitled to charge the following costs:
– Up to and including 60 days prior to departure: 10% of the total price
– from 59 days up to and including 30 days prior to departure: 30% of the total price
– from 29 days up to and including 15 days prior to departure: 45 % of the total price
– from 14 days up to and including 6 days prior to departure: 75 % of the total price
– from 5 days up to and including the day of departure : 100% of the total price.
Insurances
North Sailing recommends customers to have their own personal travel insurances.
Liability
North Sailing acts in good faith and disclaims responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents, sickness or schedule changes caused by weather or road conditions, force majeure such as natural catastrophes, strikes or any irregularities beyond the control of North Sailing. North Sailing cannot be held responsible for acts, defaults of, or delays caused by, any agent, guide, restaurant, hotel, coach operator, airline, or any persons or companies, however caused. In the case of any changes to flights (domestic and international), the passenger is responsible for any additional costs incurred as a result of such changes, (i.e. additional hotel nights, meals, transfers, etc.). All medical costs arising during tours must be paid by the client. The company cannot be made responsible for losses that a passenger may face due to delay, regardless whether the loss is direct or indirect.
