Tricky minkes
This was acutally a bit tough day. In the afternoon it was getting a little windy and the searching conditions were hard. When I came to go out at 17:00 with captain Þórunn we heard from Knörrinn that they had been out for almost two hours without seeing anything. So we decided to head to a different direction and search in the other part of the bay. But the only thing we saw there was a lot of puffins, no whales. So we headed again into the bay to search. By then the wind had calmed down a bit and the sufaces was smoother but it was still a bit difficult to search. Finally though the crew on Náttfari spotted a minke whale and we also managed to see it a couple of times before we needed to head back into the harbour. That was at least better than seeing nothing:)
