Whale Watching Season Starting in Húsavík Iceland
The Whale Watching season in Húsavík, Iceland is about to start! How excited, on the scale from a Dolphin to a Blue Whale, are you?
Welcome to Húsavík the Whale Watching Capital of Iceland
The Whale Watching season last year was fantastic in Húsavík, the Whale Watching Capital of Iceland. Passengers from all over the world had a time of their life sailing calmly close to the whales on our beautifully restored wooden oak boats. The weather conditions were good and the bay was literally full of whales!
Blue Whales, Sperm Whales, Pilot Whales, Orcas and more
We saw 11 whale species last whale watching season, including Sperm Whales, Pilot Whales, Orcas and the mighty Blue Whales. Our regular visitors, the Humpback Whales, the Minke Whales and the White-beaked Dolphins were most commonly seen on our whale watching tours but we also spotted an unusually high number of Northern Bottlenose Whales. So yes, Húsavík surely is the Whale Watching Capital of Iceland, offering the best possible conditions to see all these species in one place!
99,2% sightings – Great whale watching last summer
With summer sightings of 99,2%, you can surely say that the chances of seeing whales in Húsavík are pretty high! The whole season last year we saw whales in 97,44% of all the whale watching tours. Go Whale Watching with North Sailing
