Successful winter whale watching

We have had some very nice and successful whale watching tours here in Skjálfandi Bay the last couple of days. On each tour we managed to watch either two or three humpback whales, some individuals that have already been here now for quite a few weeks.

It is always a fantastic sight when a humpback whale lifts its fluke before it goes for a dive, in front of the beautiful mountains we have on the western side of the bay.

We still have very good sea conditions, but since it is already November be advised to dress very well, as it is pretty cold at sea these days.
