Winter Whale Watching
Today, winter paid us a visit here in Húsavík.
When we left the harbour, the weather was very calm, but after sailing for about half an hour, it started snowing quite a lot. And it snowed and snowed and snowed…..
We were sailing across all the areas where the whales had been during the last couple of days, but unfortunately we could not see much due to the heavy snowfall.
So even though we were searching for about 3 hours, we did not have any luck with the whales today.
We have been really lucky with the whales this season so far and today was the first time this fall that we did not see any whales, but that’s how it is sometimes……mother nature is unpredictable.
Hopefully more luck tomorrow, the weather forecast looks at least much better.
