The show must go on!
Its still many puffins on puffinisland to see. The puffin leaves in the end of august and puffinisland is one of the first sights we spot during our whales, sails and puffins tour.
The cute little black bird with its white belly, colorful beak and coloful beak is always nice to have a closer look at. They struggle to leave the surface of the water and fly because of its
shubby little body and small wings. It is a seabird who is a better much swimmer than up in the air flying. When Hildur went out on the tour today we first had a look at another bird-colony on our way to puffin island, but it´s not only birdwatching we are after. On our way out we spotted the first whales. It was a couple of the smallest whale that live her in Skalfandibay, the harbourporpoises. Its a shy little whale and they got up at the surface for us to have a look at them 2-3 times. Its many mammals who lives here and are intresting to watch and we also got some really good looks at the most popular one on our tour; humpackwhales who raised their fluke for us.
