Whales in the sun and fog over Húsavík

We have been really lucky with the weather these last weeks, so we are not used to foggy days and it took us by surprise.

 

When were coming back to Húsavík after the first and really successful tour, the fog just caught us. It made the day a little bit colder then we were used to, but of course it didn’t stop us to do the next tour. In our second tour we went to the same place where we had found some whales during the first trip. It was a nice surprise to find out that the place was still sunny and without fog. There we had the chance to see five humpback whales, one minke whale and a group of white-beaked dolphins. The highlight of the tour was a couple of humpbacks that decided to show up really close to our boat, making for an unforgettable experience!
