Perfect conditions!
After the mainly cold and rough summer September had a promising start: It was unusual warm, sunny and the sea flat as a mirror. Conditions can’t get better than that! Already the sailing itself was a pleasure and we enjoyed the trip out in the bay. But also the animals were incredible.
We spotted several harbor porpoises, the smallest cetacean species we have in the bay. They’re usually hard to observe, since they’re only up to two metres in length and usually very shy. But today we saw them from far away already. Apart from that, the bay seemed to be crowded with white beaked dolphins. Especially in the evening tour they surfaced all around us, approached the boat and gave us some jumping performance. And last but not least three humpback whales spent the day in the bay. Two of them socialized, swam together and synchronized their behavior. In the evening the dolphins surrounded the humpback whales and surfaced right next to them – two species in one area in perfect conditions – this is how we love the autumn!
