Lunge feeding humpback whale
In the evening as we headed to the bay for the 18:00 trip we set the course to the so called corner. It is the south west part of the bay. There we had heard about a whale. As we got there unfortunately we did not spot anything. But Bjössi Sör was a bit north of us and had been seeing a whale. So we went there and got a great show. There was a Humpback whalelunge feeding, actually really close to our boat Garðar. It was great to see this behavior. As the time was up we had to set a new course, destination Húsavík. On the way we enjoyed the hot chocolate and cinnamon buns. As all of us had enjoyed and we were almost back home, we ran in to a group of White Beaked dolphins. That was a nice end of a grate, mostly sunny day in Skjálfandi bay.
