A difficult day at sea

Unfortunately this was not the easiest of days for the whale-watching here in Skjálfandi Bay due to sea conditions but Garðar still managed to find whales on both its tours. The third tour had to be cancelled due to worsening conditions. On the morning tour we saw one easy Humpback Whale and also got a glimpse of a Minke Whale but on the afternoon tour we had one Humpback which we found through the best of ways, seeing it breach in a distance. We went closer and managed to see it breach 4-5 times more but as the number of boats increased, we decided to leave and search a bit elsewhere before heading back to harbour in Húsavík. Let us hope the weekend will be a bit easier.
