Rough and successful

Today the weather was worse than usual, and the sea was very rough, but even with these conditions we succeeded on our look out for the whales.

We took two tours today on Gardar, Gilfy, Águst, Samuel, Baldur and me. The weather in Iceland can change very very fast, and during the first trip it was ok with some waves and some windy moments. We sailed towards the western part of the bay and we found there three different humpback whales, and also a large group of jumping white-beaked dolphins. The dolphins came to the boat jumping and we had a great time with them. After that we found the humpback whales; it was great to be surrounded by them, as they were in different directions.

During the second tour the weather got worse, even though, we sailed to the same area than during the tour before, and we were right, the humpback whales were still there. We didn’t find the group of dolphins, but we had several great sights of the humpback whales.
