North Sailing supports the youngest generation

In the sport’s hall of Húsavík, children of 3-6 years old gather once a week for the so-called sport school. They play various games and practice their several skills. The aim is i.e. to train their strength, flexibility, balance, courage, and discipline and learn how to follow simple rules. At the end of each class they are rewarded with a drawing, which they can colour to their own liking at home. The school operates 12-14 times a week, both autumn and spring semester. Two sports teachers from the local elementary school, Borgarhólsskóli, organize and teach these edifying classes.

The last few years the local school has offered the children that participate a t-shirt that is included in the school’s fee but this year North Sailing decided to support the school by buying all these t-shirts and giving them to the children. On the following photos it seems as if the gift was well received by the children.
