A minke in the morning…..

We had not been able to go out yesterday due to very windy and bad weather conditions here in Skjálfandi Bay.

But as we left the harbour this morning, we were of course hoping to find the humpback whales again, so we set the course towards the north-west.

There was no sign of the humpbacks, but after searching for a little while, a minke whale surfaced very close to our boat! What a nice surprise! We got some nice looks at the minke whale, even though it was sometimes a bit difficult to spot it in the high waves. But we got some really nice and close-up looks at it!

In the afternoon we unfortunately did not find any whales or dolphins, so we offered our passengers another free tour with us whenever they are back in Húsavík.
