Three synchronized Humpback Whales

This morning we headed out to Skjálfandi Bay in beautiful weather conditions. It didn’t take us long until we spotted a spout not too far away from the boat. That spout later turned out to be three spouts! We had three Humpback whales surfacing right next to each other and at one point all three of them lifted their fluke up at the same time! It almost looked like it was rehearsed- thats how amazing it was.

After enjoying these three Humpbacks we headed further north. We then ran into a big group of playful White beaked Dolphins. They sure were in a good mood- jumping and bow riding.

On our afternoon tours the Humpback whales had split up, but the three of them were still around. The dolphins kept showing off the entire day.

It is sure to say that we had a beautiful and a succsessful day out on Skjálfandi Bay with sunshine, a lot of whales and a lot of smiling passengers.
