Daytime doesn't matter!
We are about to start into the main season. Since the 1st of July we offer more tours, the first one going at 8:30 in the morning, last one at 8pm. But is there a time of day where it is more likely to encounter the whales? We just got the answer today:
All our tours were successful again. Already in the morning we encountered two humpback whales. One of them was very relaxed, logging at the surface. But the other individual was more active. It surfaced a lot, several times right next to our boat, and suddenly it jumped completelyout of the water! So it seems the breaching mood goes on. 😉 But also the rest of the day was simply perfect. In the afternoon more humpback whales came into the bay, we spotted about six around us. Once again also one of them started breaching in some distance, but stopped when we got closer. However, we had the chance to observe the whale while it was feeding at the surface.
So that’s the answer: The whales are always exciting and it’s always worth going out – no matter which time of the day!
