Three species in the bay
This morning when Christian and myself went together with captain Hrólfur out to Skjálfandibay, we had a good feeling for the day. The course was set to the western part of the bay. After about one hour of sailing we spotted something a bit further north and headed there without delay. It took not a long time and a Humpback whale showed up. We followed him until it was time to head home again. On our way we enjoyed hot chocolate and cinnamon role. For today‘s second trip we decided to try again the same area and were rewarded: a Minke whale was spotted close to the area where the Humpback whale was this morning. On our way back, closer to the harbour some White beaked dolphins showed up. The good feeling from this morning had been luckily confirmed.
