Getting ready for the summer
During the winter season we have been busy preparing for the summer and our customers can expect to see new and improved North Sailing facilites.
North Sailing is currently building a brand new, state of the art ticket office and restaurant/café in Húsavík.
The new building is an extension to North Sailing‘s headquarters above Restaurant Gamli Baukur and provides an excellent view over Skjálfandi Bay. The first floor will host a restaurant and café, a new section of Restaurant Gamli Baukur. The church is quite prominent in the centre of town and across the street you will find North Sailing‘s new ticket office. From the ticket office you can take the stairs leading down to the harbour, passing both sections of Restaurant Gamli Baukur.
The top floor will be North Sailing‘s new ticket office and intended to increase customer experience and convenience.
The grand opening of these new facilities, which are intended to increase customer experience and convenience, will be in June 2014. Until then , our ticket sales will remain in North Sailing‘s original ticket office, “The Lighthouse”, right next to the new facilities.
