Humpback whale festival in Skjálfandi Bay

There is still a big number of humpback whales in the bay and both today and yesterday we have seen lots of humpbacks on all our tours. Today there must have been at least eight humpback whales in the bay (we took a close look at five of them). Some of them were really nice to watch, as they were just feeding right under the surface, so they took only very short and shallow dives and came up with a mouth full of seawater (and food).

Hopefully these good feeding conditions for the humpback whales will stay for a little while! 🙂
