Hungry humpbacks

It was still very cold today in Skjálfandi Bay, but the good thing is: The whales are still there! :-)During the morning tour we met a humpback whale that was very busy feeding at the surface, sometimes coming up with the mouth full of food – a very spectacular sight!

In the afternoon we spotted the same humpback whale again and we had already taken some good looks at this humpback as we saw another humpback whale in the distance. We also went there to take a better look and also this humpback whale was very cooperative, lifting the fluke very high into the air right next to the boat a few times.

The weather forecast for tomorrow looks good, hopefully the humpback whales are also still around ;-).
