Lots of humpbacks after the storm!

We had not been able to go out at sea the last two days due to very strong winds and bad weather conditions here in Húsavík.

It had been snowing during the night and in the morning, so it was very cold at sea and the waves were also still very high.

But it was totally worth to go out: We found four humpback whales and one minke whale during the morning tour and even five humpback whales during the afternoon tour!

Fingers crossed that the whales will stay for a few days, at least the weather forecast looks promising for the next couple of days ;-).
