Two feeding humpbacks, one acrobatic humpback

This morning we had to go out a bit further than usual to find the humpback whales, but it was totally worth it! We encountered two humpback whales and could watch them while they enjoyed their breakfast. They were definitely busy feeding and often came up with a mouth full of food, often swimming side by side together. A very nice sight and we got really close to them several times!

On the afternoon tour we found one humpback whale in the western part of the bay, close to the mountains. It was a very calm humpback whale, surfacing right next to our boat many times, but all of a sudden it started to slap its tail at the surface a few times…..a very spectacular sight!

So we had two nice tours with nice humpback whales in really nice weather conditions (flat sea and sunshine) today!
