The bay is full of life again!
Once again this day was a wonderful day for whale watching! Unlike the last couple of days it was quite warm and the sea was calm. Yesterday reminded us, that the whales are sometimes very unpredictable. Some of our passengers had been on the boat yesterday when we didn’t see any whales and they were hoping for a successful tour today. Fortunately it was not necessary to worry – we had no difficulties in finding the animals!
We encountered several groups of white beaked dolphins. They were very curious and approached the boat and we were lucky to see them bow riding! Furthermore we spotted two minke whales. But the most impressive encounters were those with the humpback whales. We saw at least five different individuals and three of them surfaced close together. When we approached them our captain switched of the engine. The silence was interrupted only by the breathing of the whales. A goosebumps-causing experience!
