An amazing tour!

Today I went on the tour at 10 o’clock and it was simply amazing! We were so lucky! We had to sail for quite some time before we saw any whales, but when we did, we could not have asked for a better show! First we spotted some spouts, and when we got closer we could see that they were from humpback whales. There were three of them in the same area, and two of them were apparently in a very good mood because they breeched for us! Very close to our boat actually. That was fantastic! Everybody was very excited about this, but we had gotten news from another boat about something bigger, so we left the beautiful humpback whales. When we came towards the other boat we could see two spouts, one extremely high, and the other smaller. It was a blue whale with its calf! We felt so lucky to have the opportunity see this! And one more blue whale even joined the party after a few minutes. But then, unfortunately, we were out of time and had to head home to Húsavík. The hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls were a very good ending to this awesome tour 🙂
