Humpbacks, minkes and harbour porpoises.
Today we spotted three whale species; humpback whales, minke whales and harbour porpoises. We also spotted many birds, like gannet, artic skua, artic tern, a lot of puffins and fulmars.
In the 10 o’clock tour a minke whale came up next to the boat rolling around, showing it’s belly. It was also very curious and took a long good look at the boat.
In the second tour of the day, we felt that the whales were almost too busy to entertain us, but finally we came across a humback whale that was calm and allowed us to take a good look at it. It was just a couple of meters from our boat!
It was a little cold in the bay, and a little rain, but the whales definately made up for it 🙂
