Schooner Opal heading home
Opal, the latest addition to North Sailing´s fleet, is currently on its way towards its new home port of Húsavík.
The ship and the North Sailing team, together with some of Opals‘ previous owners and crew have just left the Caledonian Canal in Scotland heading north the sound of Mull, towards Isle of Skye and the Hebrides.
So far the the voyage has been blessed with fair winds and good seas. Depending on the weather forecast the route will be set either via the Faroe Islands or directely to Iceland.
Captain Heimir is in awe of the new ship, says she sails smoothly and handles her crew well.
